Post by MacDonald "Mac" Gargan on Nov 16, 2010 8:04:51 GMT
Full Name: MacDdonald “Mac” Gargan
Alias: Scorpion
Age: Early thirties
Gender: Male
Member Group: Villain
Occupation: Private Investigator (PI)
Canon or OC: CANON
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 220 lbs
Play by: Dominic Purcell
Physical Description: Completely bald and more than a little chubby (before his transformation that is), MacDonald Gargan was never too soft on the eyes, but as a PI, does he really need to be? His brown eyes carry a look of importance in them and despite lacking the top of the line figure, Mac holds himself as though he had one.
Personality: Never the most popular or attractive of boys, Mac found that his most prominent skills lay in arts far more cunning and deceptive than the norm. In his eyes, the world is of monetary value and the information he finds is only as good as the gold or cash he gets at the end of the day for it. One thing is certain; Mac always gets what he’s after.
Carrying a tendency to obsess over his quarry, Mac allows his job to become his life and, because of this, has little/no friends. By no means, though, does Gargan lack social skills as he is quite adept in worming his way in and out of things; as is quite useful in his given profession. To be succinct, Gargan, though quite intelligent, has that part of his personality overshadowed by the times he chooses to be petty and, in some rights, downright scummy in the choices he makes.
Powers: Superhuman Strength: Lifts Up to 15 tons (increases as he ages due to the continual mutation)
Superhuman Reflexes: 50x that of a normal human (Please PM if you find a specific stat on this, I am only aware that it is greater than Spiderman's 40x)
Superhuman Durability: Knives and bullets usually are not able to penetrate his bulk, but it is certainly possible if driven in by a body with Superhuman Strength.
Superhuman Speed: Can run up to 150 mph; faster than an accelerating car.
Wall-crawling: Similar to Spider-Man, Scorpion can stick to walls.
Robotic Tail: Currently only has the ability to act as a club and can be curled up behind Gargan to launch him forwards; also is retractable and can extend up to 10'.
Weaknesses: Mental Instability: Due to the mutation that gave him his epic body strength, Mac Gargan has since lost his mind
Combat Skills (Lack Thereof): To put it bluntly, Gargan was a bit of a wimp and never fought that much if he could help it; only gunning after Spider man after his obsession drove him overboard.
History: As said before, Gargan wasn’t really the popular kid in school so he grew up tailoring a set of skills most unusual to the world. Emerging from college with nothing particularly special, Gargan found that his abilities made him an exceptionally effective Private Investigator.
Starting out was hard, but he soon got a reputation for “always getting his man” or whatever he was sent after and this rep earned him the attentions of one Jonah Jameson. After a short discussion, most of it involving money, Gargan was assigned to keep tabs on Peter Parker, a young photographer, to discover just how he was able to get such remarkable photos of the webbed wonder.
As one might guess, Parker had little trouble evading Gargan, but this only served to fuel his overwhelming desire to triumph, to achieve his goal.
Ultimately, this led to Gargan agreeing to take $10,000 in cash from Jameson to be a test subject in an experiment designed to give him the powers he needed to track down and defeat spider man; certain that this was the only way he could discover the identity of the hero.
However, as one may assume, the radiation had a unexpected side effect that caused Gargan to lose a part of himself, but allowed him to gain the awesome, savage might of the villain known as Scorpion.
CURRENTLY: Gargan has undergone his transformation into "The Scorpion" and is currently keeping his head low, still working the occasional case as a PI; though his explosiveness and insanity is starting to be well known throughout the PI community.
As "The Scorpion" he is publicly known as a villain, a rather violent one at that and people know to inform authorities if they see him...and then run, very quickly.
Not overly concerned with either of these going-ons, Gargan still thinks himself just as well as before his mutation; just a hell of a lot more powerful.
