... You're kidding. Kenji was starting to get stressed, this wasn't possible! He was sitting at a computer in the library, surrounded by biology books and with a good 12 tabs on parasites, symbiotes and everything else he could think of. He'd got nothing! The closest thing to the suit he could find was a type of fish. He slumped his head on a copy of "Single Cell Organisms" (That was resting on top of "The Origin Of Species", "Amazing Creatures", "Parasites and Symbiotes" and some other books Kenji couldn't understand. He wasn't good at biology anyway
It seemed to be mocking him. The blank white space of ... blank whiteness. Venom was giggling in the back of his mind as well, every time he logged onto a new website, or flicked the page of a book the monster would giggle: "Not there!" or "Nope! Try again!"
The childish little "Hero" that shared Kenji's mind started to talk to him in it's deep dark voice. "You're never gonna get it! I can honestly say you wo-"
"Shut up!" Kenji screamed "Just SHUT UP! and Leave! Me! A-" He paused, a few people were staring at him, some were giggling some just looking confused. Kenji blushed and then returned to fruitlessly searching google ...

Snoop. Snitch. Sneak. Gargan had been called those names and more for what he did; many much more colorful than of that listed. Still, he was good at it, damn good at it...even if others thought him insane.
Hah, him, insane? The thought of it wanted to make him laugh; so what if he was...was...passionate about Spider Man and his want to rip, tear and destroy every fiber of his being from his wretched, pitiful excuse of a body.
If he WAS crazy, he certainly wouldn't have been allowed into a High School library, would he? If he WAS crazy, he certainly wouldn't still be getting work at a Private Investigator, would he? A loud uproarious voice began to boom throughout the library and, as is natural, Gargan turned his body towards the source of the disturbance; a rather reedy boy sporting a tiny pair of spectacles.
"Speaking of crazy..." Mac's deep voice rolled out from his body as he squared his shoulders, suddenly interested in this boy who seemed fond of shouting in libraries. Maybe he knew about Peter Parker? Maybe he knew how he was getting those accursed, god-forsaken photos?
His heart rate accelerating, his muscles tightening and his eyes going wide with excitement at the mere prospect of some connection, some avenue into the Parker boy's life.
Cautiously, for he still made a rather conspicuous figure and anybody, hey ANYBODY could be on his tail right now, Gargan circled and darted in and out of library shelves until he was standing a few feet from the thin high school student.
Plucking an unimportant, random book from the shelf he arrogantly flipped it open, tucking a good portion of his face into it so as to create more obscurity. "Hey, hey kid!" His voice shot out at the asian kid, "You got problems?"
Without waiting for an answer, Mac unceremoniously lowered the book, roughly shoving it back into its place and nearly leapt into the seat next to Kenji; his eyes open to their fullest as he shot paranoid glances all about the room before turning the full attention of his gaze back onto the boy, "Cause if you do," Gargan, not caring about social awkwardness nor personal space, thrust his face very close to the boy's, "I can fix em!"
Seeming to settle down, the eerie dancing gleam existent in his eyes appeared to fizzle out as Gargan sunk into his seat, turning to the computer in front of him and pressing in the power button as though it was the type of thing he did every single day. A small smirk cropped up on his lips, his eyes still locked on the blank computer screen as he added, "For the right price o' course."
An evil snigger escaped Mac's body as he sat there; everything had a price to it, everything needed a price.

Kenji focused on the computer again and began typing up words. Venom was chuckling away in the back of his mind. "Well that's one way to get attention," He sniggered. Kenji closed his eyes and started counting to ten. He just had to ignore Venom and get back to finding out what he was. Then he could get rid of it. Or at least try to get rid of it.
"Hey, hey kid!" Kenji looked over nervously, someone was standing there, holding a book over their face. They looked a bit too old for a student, a teacher perhaps? Kenji looked behind him to make sure the person was talking to him and then pointed at himself. "M-" He started. "You got problems?" The man asked, starting to scare Kenji.
Kenji was about to nod nervously when the man pulled the book away, and shoved it back into the shelf and then jumped forward landing in the chair next to Kenji. The young boy squeaked in fear and stared at the strange person with wide eyes. Why was he wearing a mask inside?
Kenji gulped and nodded his head hurriedly. This man was scarier than Venom. "Cause if you do," The man's face jumped forward right into Kenji who grabbed a book from his lap and held it up to his face with a high-pitched whimper "I can fix em!"
Kenji stopped and lowered the book, peeking out over the top of it. Venom was laughing in Kenji's mind, Kenji knew why. Did this (probably drunk) man think he could get rid of that monster? Kenji lowered the book, placed it on his lap and looked back to his computer. He shook his head. "You ca-" Kenji started.
"For the right price o' course." The man finished. Was he going to get to say anything!? Kenji glanced at the man as he turned his computer on. He was clearly drunk ... or insane ... or both. Kenji resumed typing, still glancing at the man.
He'd tried everything he could think of. He was out of options. He needed help. This guy was offering. "Um ... my name's Kenji," He said holding out a hand "Are you a detective?"

The boy's fear...he was a jumpy one, but was it necessary. Staring blankly at the screen, Mac took a moment for himself. Yes, yes, perhaps it was rational; you meet a figure such as himself in a place you don't expect him to be and it's natural to be a little hesitant to speak, hesitant to interact.
One capable hand drew up to his face to itch at his chin, but came in contact with rough kevlar instead; whoops, he'd forgotten his mask. It was...what? Day three perhaps? Yes, he'd been wearing his outfit for three days straight now. Of course he'd took it off to shower and stuff, but that was just out of habit. His line of work may be scummy, but Mac Gargan was not.
"Um ... my name's Kenji. Are you a detective?"
Hmph, so the boy knew of him, knew of his profession; that was good, it always made it easier when you didn't have to try and impress someone. Ignoring the hand, Mac nodded mutely in response. Hand shakes were to seal deals and for goodbyes and this situation was certainly neither of those.
His head bobbed up and down in response, "Gargan's the name. You mighta heard of me." Hunching his shoulders a bit, his hands quickly flipped up the collar on his long overcoat; perhaps blocking out his masked head. "And I prefer the term of Private Investigator."
He had to go slow, take it easy. If this boy knew the Parker child and was a friend, he couldn't have him darting off to inform on him. Then Mac would lose the element of surprise, he'd lose an advantage; Mac didn't like to lose anything.
Determined to keep up the apperance as though he was casually perusing through internet articles, one big index finger descended towards the keyboard...and crashed right through. A feral growl eased out of the PI's lips as he swiftly removed his finger, mutteriing a few choice obscenities as he did so.

The man didn't take his hand, he just nodded. Kenji paused and slowly moved his hand back to the keyboard and continued typing. He was beginning to regret engaging this guy. "That's what you get for talking to the voices in your head," Venom told him.
No, sod it, if this guy could get rid of the suit then he was totally worth the peculiar habits and weird quirks.
"Gargan's the name. You mighta heard of me." The man replied, flipping his collar up. Kenji was about to say "No I'm afraid that I haven't heard of you," when he finished by saying "And I prefer the term of Private Investigator."
Kenji looked at the screen, he was still on google. His fingers danced over the keyboard so that the words "Private Investigator New York Brooklyn Gargan" were in Google and then he pushed enter.
Kenji was about to click on the first thing to come up, (an article from the Daily Bugle's front page) when he heard something growl. Terrified, Kenji closed the browser and turned around to see Gargan muttering something under his breath. "Sorry! Sorry! I-I just wanted to see if y-" Kenji stopped when he noticed the broken keyboard and gulped "Um ... what were you looking at?"

This boy was jumpy, realy jumpy. He watched as the build-up of saliva from the boy's mouth traveled down his throat, causing a slight distension in the skin that his keen eyes could detect. So...darn...jumpy.
"Um ... what were you looking at?"
The question reached Gargan's ears and they pricked up, momentarily surprised. Then, it dawned upon him; of course the boy thought he was here searching for something...that was the point, wasn't it? Here he was, hunched in front of this computer posing as a high school student shuffling through millions of internet files for one in particular, that was the point of the facade, the illlusion; to trick folk like Kenji into thinking he wasn't here for his own devious intentions.
Mutely, Gargan reached forward and pulled up a new window on Kenji's screen, his fingers, more gently this time, typing out a name into the search engine. P. E. T. E. R. P. A. R. K. E. R.
As usual, a thousand or so articles cropped up; the first reading about Parker being on the way of achieving the highest scholastic average in Midtown's history, but in Mac's eyes that could have been in another language. His own gaze was locked upon the second link. Manuevering the mouse over it, he clicked the link which whisked the screen to another one; this covered by a myriad of assorted pictures of none other than Spider-Man.
It had the wall crawler swinging from rooftops, casting his infamous webs, scaling walls and other web slinging nonsense. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out this was a compilation of pictures that the young freelance photographer, Parker, had taken of the ever illusive Spider-Man.
After scrolling through a few more photos, Gargan skipped to the bottom of the webpage where it showed a picture of the gangly Peter Parker and a short, unimportant article below. "Parker. Goes to this high school, you know him?"
Again, thrusting his face close to Kenji's, his hot breath washed over the boy's face as he continued to speak, "How's he get those darn pictures?!?"

Kenji moved his chair back and folded his arms a cross his chest nervously as Gargan reached across and started typing something. Kenji looked at the letters that came up.
Peter Parker.
Kenji looked at the links that came up, the mouse scrolled to the second one down and clicked it. Slowly pictures began to load, pictures of Spiderman. Kenji frowned and looked at Gargan. "You're interested in Spiderman?" He asked
Kenji couldn't blame him, he'd taken in an interest in Spiderman, even drawn an alternate costume, pure black with a white spider in the center, which Venom had then incorporated into his look. Their powers were similar too, Wall-crawling, web-slinging, strength, agility.
"Parker. Goes to this high school, you know him?" Gargan asked. Kenji nodded "Yeah ... sort of, vaguely, we share some classes," Gargan's face was thrust back into Kenji's and he squealed (again). "How's he get those darn pictures?!?" Gargan demanded.
Kenji looked at Gargan. He was starting not to trust him. He looked Gargan straight in the eye. "Lea-" For a second he looked angry. Exactly a second. Almost immediately after the first syllable left his lips his cheeks flushed red and he looked down at his shoes "Leave him alone ... kay? His, um, I think his uncle died, and he was in hospital with ... s-something a few months back and ... well," Kenji swallowed again and looked up at Gargan "He's had it rough and ... and, and, an- ... yeah,"

Gargan blinked. Had he seen what he thought he saw? This terrified, meek, coward of a boy had just had a torrent of anger flash across his face; terrible, wonderful anger. Then, it was gone, replaced by an embarrassed redness that welled up in his cheeks.
"Leave him alone ... kay? His, um, I think his uncle died, and he was in hospital with ... s-something a few months back and ... well...He's had it rough and ... and, and, an- ... yeah,"
Mac's gut tightened at the same time as his eyes narrowed, did the boy...have feelings for Parker? He was sure as hell no Betty Brant, not even the same gender, but if Parker swung that way then this Kenji could be bait, could be leverage.
At this point, a few people had gotten close enough to see the masked face and had obviously realized Gargan wasn't supposed to be here, either freezing in their tracks and hurriedly walking backwards or ducking their head and nearly running past to get away. Mac's ears twitched as he heard the low voice of who he assumed to be a Police Officer at the front desk, "We got a call for a suspicious intruder?" A female voice responded accordingly and Mac's body tensed up; he'd be having trouble soon. It was time to take this conversation somewhere a little more private.
Without asking, he seized the boy's arm and began to pull him up out of his chair as he stood; his body filled with every attention to hustle the kid out of the back exit, if he struggled he'd knock him unconscious and carry him out like a sack of potatoes. Simple, direct, easy. After all, he was super powered, what could this boy do to him?

[OOC: Dude I love that Idea! Kenji Kato fancies Peter Parker =D]
"H-hey what are you ..." Kenji mumbled as Gargan hoisted him out and begun pushing him out the door.
He looked over at a scary looking goth getting up from the table and raising a heavy looking psychology textbook and walking towards them. "He's a friend! I ... he's a friend! We're cool!" Kenji insisted, waving his free arm frantically as various people looked on in confusion and mild suspicion.
Venom giggled in the back of his head and then broke into hysterics as he was yanked through the door. "What!?" Kenji hissed out the corner of his mouth. "The guy on the table, the jock?" Venom said, still chortling "Pretty sure I heard him say the word "Gi-" Kenji blushed crimson and turned to Gargan. "... What are you gonna do?" He whimpered.

Ignoring the countless odd looks, it only took a few seconds to shove the whimpy kid out the door; figuring he had a few minutes before the cops searched the outside, he proceeded to pin the hapless asian to the wall. "Parker, you and him...got a thing?"
His eyes flared wide as his face, mere centimeters from Kenji's, contorted into a look of angry excitement, his mouth terrible and agonized while his eyes were lit up with a monstrous joy. If this boy had a relationship with Parker, that could only be a good thing. People were willing to do stupid, stupid things for those they thought they "loved." Gargan knew this and he'd often manipulated the silly emotion for his own needs, granted, kidnapping had never been involved.
When the boy didn't answer immediately, Mac grabbed him roughly with both hands by the collar of his shirt and lifted him as though he were a rag doll; of course keeping his back firmly to the wall. "Well, answer the question!"

"Parker, you and him...got a thing?" Gargan asked forcing him up against a wall.
Kenji tried to analyse what he meant but fear of the terrifying face Gargan was pulling. He gulped a little, Gargan looked so ... happy. It really didn't suit him. Kenji began to realise what the question was and started to blush.
Kenji felt himself get lifted up and looked down at Gargan, a tiny squeal escaping his lips. "Well, answer the question!" Gargan demanded. "I-I No! No!" Kenji insisted his cheeks turning bright red "He's, he's just someone I know! I'm straight!"

Kai heard something strange coming from the alley where she had hidden behind a dumpster. A man yelling at someone, and then the frightened reply. Kai peeked out to see the two, a large man and a small Asian boy. Kai glanced at her rabbit, who was sleeping inside her black bag. Kai looked back at the two, feeling oddly protective of the small, seemingly weak boy. "Hey," Kai said shakily, standing up. "Leave him alone.... I'm....I'm warning you...."

"This guys crazy!" Venom growled from inside Kenji's head. "Your point?" Kenji whispered. "He's going to kill you!" Venom pressed. "So?" Kenji said, knowing what his "partner" was going to suggest but not wanting to do it. Venom could of course read his thoughts and made a small growl when he realised what Kenji was thinking. "You don't have a choice! Do it! NOW!" He screamed.
Kenji glanced down at Scorpion, he was strong, crazy and wearing a lot of heavy duty armour. Kenji moved his head up and closed his eyes tightly. "Promise you won't kill him ..." He begged. If Scorpion could see through his clothes he'd see that Kenji was shuddering because the veins all throughout his body were throbbing. The sticky black substance crawled over his han-
"Hey," Kai said shakily, standing up. "Leave him alone.... I'm....I'm warning you...."
Kenji willed the symbiote back into his body quickly, Venom crying out at him. It was obvious at this point that Gargan was insane and even more obvious that he needed help to fight him off but he was NOT going to give Venom the satisfaction of tearing him limb from limb. "Get help!" Kenji shouted "The guys insane!"
It was at this point he tried kicking at the man before him.

The boy was begging, how pathetic, how enraging. The muscles in Scorpion's arms tensed as he readied himself to do something drastic like tear the poor sop in half.
"Hey," Kai said shakily, standing up. "Leave him alone.... I'm....I'm warning you...."
Was that a...voice? A female one at that. Jerking his head to the side he saw some sort of tiny vagabond standing behind a dumpster; what a freak.
"Get help!" Kenji shouted "The guys insane!"
Insane, eh? Who did this twerp think he was playing with? Nostrils flaring, Mac's temper began to accelerate and with his attention fully on the asian boy pinned against the wall, the kick aimed at him was oh so easy to avoid.
Flicking one foot up, his booted appendage smacked hard against Kenji's bony shin; the shin, even on the most muscled and conditioned of men, is a vulnerable place due to the difficulty it poses to actually build muscle on the area which leaves it bony and sensitive. Figuring that the boy would be out for the count for at least a few minutes, considering that he was a wimp, Gargan released his hold on him and turned to the girl, his chest swelling as he took in a deep breath.
His voice shot out towards her menacingly, "What are you gonna do about it, pipsqueak?" Eyebrows smashing together, Mac's face grew into a dark, terrible scowl as he flexed every muscle in his body, inhaling again to make himself appear as large as possible. Hey, it worked for dogs and other animals...why wouldn't it work here?

Kai didn't move, she stared at the large man. "I'm not afraid of you...." She said, her voice quiet and timid. "It's not okay to hurt people who are smaller than you...." Kai's voice revealed that she was, in fact, terrified of Scorpion, no matter what she said. "I'm sorry," Kai looked to the boy on the ground. "No one is going to help us.... No one cares about people like us." She turned back to Scorpion, glaring. "It's people like you that ruined my life." She took a small knife out of her pocket and threw it at his head.
