Full Name: Peter Benjamin Parker
Alias: Spider-Man
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Member Group: Hero
Occupation: Student
Canon or OC: Canon
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 167 lbs or so
Hair Colour: Brown
Eye Colour: Brown
Play by: Adam Brody
Physical Description: With his unnaturally curvy, attractive hair and award-winning smile, you'd think Parker would be an ace, a total ace. However, the clothes he wears do not compliment his baggy, being too baggy (both shirt and jeans) and occasionally flooding (that would be his jeans). Normally plain, solid-colored t-shirts are his thing and he has developed a nervous habit of using the hem of the darned things to clean off his glasses; real smooth.
When walking, it appears as though his main goal is to curl up into a tiny ball, that way he might just disappear, might just be too small for the world to see.
Personality: Funny and quick-witted, this side of Parker is often never seen in his role of a civilian. Quiet and from all appearances quite shy, Peter’s personality in Midtown High is a stark contrast to the “masked menace” as he is sometimes labeled by The Daily Bugle. Once that mask and costume of red and blue are on, Parker’s true colors really blaze.
Bold, confident and more than a little sarcastic, Peter often will treat opponents as though he is joking with them, no doubt to make himself feel superior; after all, isn’t he? This seemingly new person that Parker appears to become is a result of the anonymity and protection his costume, his mask and his powers grant him; no longer is he that athletically deficient geek who lost his parents at a young age, no longer is he that reserved, silent kid in the corner of the class room.
Still, events have occurred where the life of Spider-Man and the life of Peter Parker, which, though they often clash, Peter likes to keep separate in his mind. When this occurs, Parker will often lose his “cool” façade and joking manner, not entirely mind you, but baser emotions such as rage, fury or desire will often surface.
Now, please don’t get the idea that Parker is completely socially awkward. When appearing as his normal, human self, Peter just isn’t necessarily inclined to start conversations though he is more than capable of holding one of his own and he does have the capacity for friendship, quite enjoying it actually. Though he does enjoy his powers, a bit of him, just a bit, still feels it to be a bit of a curse at times, but then those familiar, ever-familiar words echo in his head.
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
Equipment/Weapons: Web-Shooters (Regular Synthetic Polymer Adhesive)
Powers:
Superhuman Strength – Able to lift ten tons optimally
Superhuman Agility – About 40 times that of the average human, allowing him to dodge bullets point blank.
Wall-Clinging – Rumored to be several tons per finger of strength, Parker can use this to easily scale buildings and any other non-slippery surface.
Superhuman Speed – Rough top speed in the 120 mph zone (albeit for a very short amount of time), Spidey can accelerate faster than a moving car.
Equilibrium – Spidey can balance himself on any surface that he can stick to.
Spider Sense – A precognitive sort of sense allowing Spidey to detect possible dangers and even radio frequencies.
Superhuman Durability/Composition – With tendons and such at least double the elasticity and strength of a normal human, Parker’s body can take many impact related injuries that normal humans could not without receiving much physical harm. However, bullets and knives can still pierce his skin.
Metabolism/Healing Rate – Said to be far greater than a humans, these qualities allow Parker to have a slight resistance to many toxins/suppressants.
Web-Swinging – Estimated to be about 120 mph.
Abilities:
IQ Level - Rumored to be sky high, it suffices to say that Parker is beyond genius level.
Education - Comprehensive knowledge of physics, radiation, chemistry and biology coupled with above average awareness in all other fields.
Weaknesses:
Web-Shooters – Their ability to run out of fluids.
Durability/Composition – As stated above, bullets and knives CAN penetrate and harm Spidey.
History: Everyone knows the story, bitten by a radioactive spider at the age of fifteen, young Peter Parker certainly had enough on his plate before that fateful day of transformation. At the age of ten, while staying with his aunt and uncle, Peter lost both of his parents in a car crash. After that, well, it sort of went downhill from there. Being a thinker rather than a doer, Parker never took an interest in sports and instead poured his concentrations into his studies, particularly those in the realms of science. Of course, others took him as a geek, for that was indeed what he was, and he became a bit of a social outcast.
Still, all that changed after one little bite. After a month or so ordeal in the hospital, Parker reawakened with a new body, but the same ever-brilliant mind. Upon discovering this change, it didn’t take him long to find out he could use ‘em to have a bit of fun in life, fun that he had never really experienced. Oh the joy to swing from building to building, to scale walls, to shoot webbing from a creation he had devised himself! Then, that dark day arrived; the death of his Uncle Ben. Left with those famous, lingering words, “With great power, comes great responsibility.” Parker now seeks to juggle his academic life with his own personal choice to fight back against crime as he struggles to don the persona and mindset of a true hero, going by the name of Spider-Man.
